I’ve always seen Thursdays as a negative day — not “deeply negative,” but negative in the sense that nothing important ever happens. It just feels like that “bla bla bla” kind of day where I can’t waste a good outfit because, let’s be honest, Friday is the next day and most of us already have the mentality that Fridays are for native attires. Thursday is that last day of the week where you’re forced to wear corporate fits and pretend you’re organized.
Personally, I feel like Thursdays are my unlucky days. Today started with me waking up late — okay, not exactly late, but you know when you’re expecting the light by 6 a.m.? I had been awake since 3 a.m., slept and woke up around 4, slept again and woke up around 5. Those weren’t even real sleeps, so technically I’ve been awake since 3 a.m. 😂
The light finally came on past 6, and I still had to wash before bathing, pray, and get ready. Y’all know how long that whole process takes. I was already running late for my 8 a.m. class when they asked me to change my outfit and adjust some things (school rules). It’s not like I didn’t wear the appropriate dress code , sometimes those people are just not in their right senses, especially that early in the morning. Like, please, don’t add to my anger (in my head).
